The 2008 Season of the Bean Blossom Music Series
On Sunday, May 18, 2008 Moira Smiley and VOCO presented a concert of original street singing, vocal improvisation, Shape Note singing and Southern Hymnody. Moira was in town for the Bloomington Early Music Festival, and it was a joy to welcome her to Bean Blossom!
On Sunday, September 28, 2008 the Bean Blossom Music Series presented The Steve Allee Trio, featuring Grammy nominee, pianist and jazz composer Steve Allee, with bassist Frank Smith and Kenny Phelps on drums.
On Sunday, October 19 at 7 pm, the Bean Blossom Music Series presented dulcimer virtuoso and Brown County performing artist Jon Kay in a hauntingly lovely evening of music and storytelling.
